We’re continuing with the layering theme this week. One of the challenges that our clients come up against in making their clothes work harder is to make summer or lighter-weight pieces work through Autumn/Winter, especially dresses.

The key to layering and adding warmth to a dress is to keep its waist shaping so that it doesn’t look too boxy (unless you’re a lucky rectangle – go for it). So look for jackets that are shorter and have some shaping to them, so you don’t lose the lovely line and details of the dress.
